Career Transition Assistant - MacDill AFB, FL

Position Summary:

The Career Transition Assistant is responsible for providing assistance and support to the Chief of Transition and the Transition Team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Not listed in order of importance; other duties may be assigned)

· Collect, analyze, and report on the metrics for Career Transition initiatives.

· Assist in development of department standard operating procedures and documentation.

· Manage the resume referrals and Career Transition monthly newsletter.

· Track and maintain internal databases and reports.

· Assist in the creation of MOAs.

· Manage the Career Transition Team email box and calendar as directed.

· Assist/maintain/update presentations and program documents to include weekly SYNC slides, talking points, list of FAQs, meeting minutes from team meetings, etc.

· Schedule and develop agenda for team meetings and attend meetings and disseminates notes as directed.

· Assist with maintenance of the Career Transition’s section of the Care Coalition Web page.

· Perform general office and administrative functions to include research, update various spreadsheets, create/distribute/collect survey results, filing, proof reading, order office supplies, etc.

· All other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
· BA/BS degree (preferred)

Knowledge:

· Proficient in MS Office suite of products

· Previous knowledge of Wounded Warrior Operational support preferred

Abilities:

· Strong interpersonal, critical thinking and problem-solving skills

· Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines

· Ability to interpret and follow oral instructions

· Able to adapt to changes in schedules and job priorities

· Able to perform detailed work with a high degree of accuracy

· Able to read and interpret written information

Clearance:

Secret Clearance required. Candidates may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information upon hire.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None for this position.
