Mr. Davies retired in 1994 as an Army Aviator after 20 years of service in both the US Air Force and US Army. Mr. Davies served in a variety of command and staff positions in Hawaii, Korea, Germany, Iraq, Grenada, Bahrain, Panama and CONUS. His aircraft flight experience includes UH-1H, OH-58A/C, AH-1 G/Prod/ECAS/Mod, UH-60A and command and staff position in AH-64 and OH-58 KW units. He also served in multi-service operations including PG Naval Ops, Humanitarian Operations, Operation Desert Shield/Storm, Operation Baby Lift, Operation Urgent Fury, and SOF support Ops.

Mr. Davies holds a BSED from Western Carolina University, MS in Counseling and Human Development from Troy University, MS.C in Adult Education from Regis University and is a resident graduate of the Air Command and Staff College, the Aviation Advanced Course and Infantry Advanced Course. His military awards and decorations include the Senior Aviator Badge, Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medals, Army Commendations Medals and numerous campaign service awards. Mr. Davies also served for 16 years as the CEO of Lifespan Consulting and Advocacy (non-medical case management) in North Carolina.

He and his wife Lauri reside in Seven Lakes NC and have four grown children and four grandchildren.
