Meagan McAllister joins 9Line as a Program Analyst for the Navy Wounded Warrior- Safe Harbor Adaptive Sports Program. She is a graduate of Ithaca College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Therapeutic Recreation and Minor in Health Policy and Management. Meagan is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) and Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS), joining us most recently from INOVA Mount Vernon Hospital where she worked with men and women of all ages and backgrounds after traumatic injuries and illnesses including stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputations, cardiac and orthopedic events, and more, using recreational opportunities to promote physical mobility, cognition, and socialization in preparation for community re-entry.

Meagan also serves as the Director of Capital Adaptive Rowing Program which provides adaptive rowing to athletes with a variety of abilities in recreational, rehabilitative, and competitive arenas. In addition to adaptive rowing, Meagan has also served as an adaptive aquatics instructor and volunteered with a variety of adaptive sports programs including hand-cycling, quad rugby, amputee soccer, and flag-football.

As an “Army brat,” Meagan is excited to rejoin the military community in providing sport, support, and hope.
