Hiram Ortiz

Mr. Ortiz served 30 years of active duty service in the US Army retiring as a CSM. His assignments include leadership positions in fixed medical facilities as well as field units. During his career, Mr. Ortiz had the privilege of serving in several stateside assignments, including Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Walter Reed Army Medical Center, 85th Combat Support Hospital and Dewitt Army Hospital, Ft Belvoir, Virginia. His overseas assignments include duty with the Berlin Brigade, 52nd Medical Bn (Dustoff-Korea), 16th Medical Logistics Battalion and the 249th Combat Support Hospital (Task Force MED-EAGLE). His deployments include Operations Desert Shield/Storm, Operation Joint Forge (Bosnia-Herzegovina) and Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF). Mr. Ortiz received the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star Medal (BSM) and the Meritorious Service Medal (8th award).

He is married and has two grown children, one of which is presently serving on active duty in the US Air Force.
